Showing your actions are effective is the hardest reporting criterion, and the one regulators are now scrutinising. It's no longer enough to say your risk is 'low'. You have to show your actions created change, and demonstrate the reasonable steps you have taken to stand behind it. This is where most clients start, with my Effectiveness Diagnostic.
Build the due diligence underneath
A modern slavery statement alone is not enough. I build the work behind it: risk mitigation roadmaps, human rights due diligence and salience assessments under the UN Guiding Principles and OECD guidance, and responsible sourcing across your supply chain policies and procedures. So what you disclose reflects what you actually did, as a reasonable steps position.
Demonstrate your social programs deliver
Running a social program is one thing. Proving it had impact is more meaningful. I evaluate whether your social programs and community investment genuinely deliver for the people they're meant to serve. This is the discipline the UN Guiding Principles and OECD guidance put at the heart of responsible business: understanding your operational impact on people and communities, not just your activity. It's also where social disclosure is heading. As frameworks like the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) begin to take shape, businesses that can already evidence their social impact will be ahead of the pack.

When grievances, workplace conflict or partnership tensions surface, they stall projects and cost money.
